Congratulations to the participants of the Bushfire fundraiser in Melbourne and Brisbane last Friday. I was lucky that my friends and family were largely unaffected, but it was terrible to see the destruction to so many of Victoria's lovely townships and I can't imagine the loss of nature and wildlife from these fires. I have been overseas throughout, but was grateful to the ABC for streaming their live bushfire coverage over the internet allowing me to keep track of the fire movement.
